s reading up on tesla for deadlands purposes, and i had no idea how cool( and exactly like my character) he was. so i figured out that (in deadlands) all of teslas stuff, was actually from my notes that i left from smith and robards. motha fucka had plans for a deathray.

yes. my players are retarded.

so there was a little friction between pcs today. and i do mean a little friction. as in they were simply tossing back and forth snarky remarks.
that is until one of them (the one who was annoying the piss out of everybody out of characters(rp1)) draws a gun on the other one(rp2).

now his(rp1) reasoning for this would be that hes not actualy going to shoot, hes just doing it for cinematic value, well he's real bright because i had to remind him that they(fp1, rp3) don't know that in character.

so anyway, i was at that point pissed off so i had them make opposed... something rolls, i dont remember, and the (rp2)one won the roll and was able to get the guy who drew the gun (rp1)into a grapple.

then came the opposed strength checks( the rp1 at -4) to see if the grappler (rp2)can break his finger. hes(rp2) able to and the one with the broken finger(rp1) fails his vigor roll and is not unconsions.

so the (rp2) and (rp3) are arguing about whether to call an ambulance or not and i tell them all to give me one benny and we'll retcon it. of coarse, this is the same group who tried to argue why is would be fine to carry a fully-automatic rifle AND flamethrower out in the open in the middle of wahington dc.

oh yeah, and they also had the clever idea that while they can be arrested for going into a crime scene after they've been warned they CANT be arrested for going THROUGH a crime scene after they've been warned.

so yah, next session will see some change.

so i saw IRON MAN a couple hours ago. for those of you who dont know iron man is about a billionaire weapons designer named tony stark who goes to afganastan to show off his new missile but is then captured by a terrorist group and held captive. his only chanse of survival is to build his captures a missle of his own. well instead he builds a man, an iron man(actually i think its alluminum, but that doesn't sound as cool) which he uses to kick terrorist ass and get the hell out of there. anyway, he does so and as a result he sees how his weapons are enableing the bad guys to do bad guy stuff. so then he builds a better suit and awesomeness insuse.

now obviously this is nowhere near the whole story, but that all the lord wants me to tell you, for he (by which i mean samuel L jackson) wants you to see it for yourself.

This movie was excellent, which is very good considering there hasnt been a really really marvel comic book movie in a few years, probably since spiderman 2(2004), xmen 2 and spiderman 2 had its ups and downs, and ghostrider makes me want to vomit, but i can actually find no fault in this film. Robert Downey Jr is EXCELLENT as Tony Stark, his dry, witty dialouge is exactly what Stark is about. the conflict is much less a matter of evil villain building a machine to take out a major city (although there was a bit of that) and more a personal, ethical conflict as to whether these weapons hes designing truly are doing the good he though they were.

the best part was the apearance of S.H.E.I.L.D. it was not blatant and gimmicky, it was really very subtle for they did not even call them selves sheild until the last 2 minutes of the film, and unless you had the backround knowlege and was listening well, all they were were the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. however the absoulute fucking best part which made me vomit in joy was the *spoiler alert, highlight to see* apearrance of Samuel L Jackson as agent (not colonel) nick fury after the credits telling Tony Stark that they he needs to talk to him about the "avengers initiative". *spoiler alert*

on the down side(not that theres much) i would have liked to have seen them explore his alchoholism a little bit, but thats what sequels are for right?

I must say i did not expect much out of it going into it, but i was astounded at how good this film was, i urge everyone who is into comics, comic culture, comic movies, and movies in general to see it. It was a good use of my 10 bucks.

the film "juno" hs been bothering me.

so because it has been out for several months now, I'm pretty sure that you know people are crazy for "Juno". They love the quirky teen who can help but be sarcastic, cause that's just who she is so that makes it okay for her to be rude. for those who don't know, "Juno" is a film starring Ellen Page about a teen who gets pregnant and decides to give her baby to the couple who can't concieve. fine. not my kind but i still paid the 10 bucks for the ticket so I'm willing to give it a chance.

this movie was an okay story wrapped in unoriginality and obnoxiousness. the main culprit: wood panel walls. obviously meant to represent the retro, lower middle class look, and thats fine, but its been done too much. napolean dynamite, little miss sunshine, and even things like the royal tenenbaums, to name a few examples. the first few times it was kinda cool. now it is boring.

the seacond problem: the main character;juno. juno is a sarcastic, "whity", likeble heroeine, or so people beleive. in my oppinion the sarcastic snark this character has is many times unwanted and mean, as every other character seems to be dumbfounded and unable to respond whenever she makes a snappy remark. also she has a tendancy to spit out abscure pop culture references every 3 seconds or so, unless shes giving birth. this behavior is stupid and unrealistic if only for the fact that the only time women are known to spew out obscure pop culture refrences is while their giving birth.

besies these shallow reasons, the writing is boring and unbeleivable. PEOPLE DO NOT TALK THAT FAST WITH SUCH WITTY REMARKS IN REALITY. juno is very clearly the "it" movie that every 15 year old without a real brain will own it and watch it about once a day, replacing little miss sunshine, which replaced napolean dynamite.

juno is 'artsy' 'different' and "the best film of its kind" to those who will only watch films that they see comercials for on tv, but a poor movie for those with half a brain. the film insists on filling you till you burst with quirk. juno is drinking out of a jug of sunny d: wow, now thats cool. shes talking on a hamburger phone(and she even acknowleges it as a hamburger phone: how much wakier can she get! oh wait for this: when her water breaks she shouts "thundercats are go!" ! holy shit! is there anything this girl wont do?!

the answer to that questin is entertain.

hello, to my devout readers out there, i will provide you with a summery of the recent hapenings in my life and my fellings towards said happenings.

    to start off with, high school sucks. most of it. early on i occupied myself with trying to get a date with one unnamed "anime-girl" i finaly did so and fun was had by all. however through a number of phone calls regarding one subject that she kept telling me to call her back about, she said i was "coming on too strong. pfff, if you ask me, i didnt come on strong enoug, but no matter, right now i've still got a few tricks up my sleeve. not involving anime-girl of coarse. so after the loss of anime girl i actualy began to get a sort of a social life. i have gained many aquaintances, and a few friends. now, as i'm sure you know, i dont make many friends. i act above people, or they right me off as weird, or i'm just not lucky enough to come into contact with the people i would like to be fiends with. but since i went back to school, i have had four people to my house that i'v never had before. kendra, an emo-y drugy that has taken a liking to me, rigby, a skater that games, and mark, and old friend from 5th grade that is still as cool as he was. there all cool.

    spanish sucks, but i find that if i take notes and do homework, its fairly okay. math also sucks, not because its hard, but its boring and one of the teachers treats us like retards because this is the class that everybody who went to 8th grade already took so you must be retarded to have to take it again. well its a good thing that i didnt go to 8th grade! government is okay, but i might fail because i havnt gotten the signitures for my community servaise project yet and it was due a month ago. english is great, the teacher likes me, i like her, the class is fun with barely any assholes. its cool.

    on a non school note, i am making some sort of comic related thing about the scion game i am in. also i have had so much practice on my artistic ability that im pretty much the best that i know of. i am trying to a scion game for some friends, including mark and rigby. i suppose thats it. thank you for letting me devour your time

the simpsons movie A-

i saw the midnight showing of the simpsons movie on thursday, and i was releaved. i was a bit confused/conflicted in anticipation for this film but i must say that it was not as bad as i feared. it could have been the shock of seeing my favorite family on the big screen, or that i got to see stuff that i couldnt see on tv ( barts dick, homer flicking springfeild off, ms. krabbaple's great, although covered by a t-shirt, rack), or it could have been the help of the rest of the audiance's plentyful laughs, but i lauged a great deal.

    i would prefer not to give my half-assed plot synopsis, so you should probably see the movie or at least read the wikipedia entry before reading beyond this point. just a suggestion.

    it was realy hard for me to know what i should think of it when i first saw it, and even though its still not easy, i have a good idea of what i think. there was a good mix of the more subtle humor from the nineties and the more abrasive humor of the oughts. they could have gotten as many celebrities as they wanted, but all they got were greenday ( who died within the first 5 minuites unfortunely ) and tom hanks, both of wich had very bit parts. my main complaint is that i kinda wish they had a little more that involved the citesens of springfeild, but i know if they did much more with them i would be here saying "they should have stuck to the family!" . yes, most of the subplots were already done in some way or another, but they were still very different from the show.

    on the down side, a continuity error or two, and a smidge two much shock based laughs.

    i have been waiting over 13 years for this movie and im glad to say that it did not dissapoint me. i got tingles about every five minuites just because i couldnt belive i was watching this. especialy when they jumped springfeild gorge on a motorcycle.

just because transformers did well, dosnt mean they have to make a live-action movie out of EVERY popular toy line ; observe http://www.thebratzfilm.com/. i was close to vomiting my entire digestive system out of my mouth, slurping it back up like a gummy worm , vomiting it out again, cut it into little peices, cremating it, eating the ashes, and have an asthma attack when i saw this on tv this morning.

now i HATE the bratz franchise, i am appauled that they market whore-ism to small children, and yet they wont stop. now i watch a lot of tv, and as such, i see a LOT of brats commercials, just to name a few off the top of my head there have been bratz, bratz kids, bratz babies, bratz pets, bratz babies pets, bratz mystery date, and finaly for all the dudes out there who want to buy dolls that arnt action figures, there are boyz. they have also made at least half-a-dozen movies, including the timeless classic "bratz : rockin angelz" and of coarse that film making landmark known as " brats : passion 4 fashion diomandz" ( i think thats just about the classiest thing iv ever heard)

now, i have very little problem if little sluts-to-be like to play with these abomanations, but to bring it to the theater?! my havan!? i think not! for them to take this filth into the one place in the universe where i can just sit on my ass care free and be entertained is blasphemy! the bratz franchise is NO GOOD. i shun the dude who directed this, and even if its fricken kevin smith, i will never see a movie from this fucker again. yah i said it, watch me. what i am asking everybody is if you are givvin a choice, to be boiled alive and eaten, or watch this movie, please, make the right decision.

p.s. why does the name "bratz" even exist, dont people relise that if they had it there way, the hasbro or whoever ownes them would just call them "bitchez"

when people write a sentence with the word guess in it ( guess what, guess who, guess why, ect.) the always put a question mark at the end. why is this? it is not a question, its a command. you are actively ~~commanding~~ damanding them to guess who, what ,why, when , how, or where. its like saying hop on one foot? my name is steve? your a moron for putting a question mark there? sure it can be used in a question, but not in that context.

    I just went to TRANSFORMERS, and it was okay. Now before you read on i must say that i am not that farmilia with the franchise so i will be criticing only as a movie-buff, not a fan. a helicopter depticon called <insert name here> destroyed a millitary base out in the middle east and killed all but a few of them. meanwhile a certain character played by shia lebouf named <insert name here> is trying to raise money for a car. remember that sentance before the last and what is described, well basicly the 4 or 5 army dudes that didnt get killed are looking a town or village or something to finda phone so they can call the pentagon, long story short they get stalked and all but 2 of them get killed.

    The U.S. government believes that the hellicopter dude was trying to steal secret files, they hire a bunch of young hooligans to figure out what the fuck is was looking for and more to the point what it WAS . so shia lebouf gets his car because it destroys all of the other ones at bernie macs car lot. the next day or something he is going to this party at the lake. there he burns this ass-whole with a sleevless shirt and non-transformiong truck, the asshole pisses his girlfriend off, who happens to bear a striking resembalance to megan fox, so she walks home and shia lebouf follows her and he picks her up and its akward and it starts playing music resembeling shias feeling for her and shit. okay lets speed this up; bumble bee comes alive another transformer hacks into military files, optimus prim and jazz and ratchet and mabey one other come alive but i forget, everybody teams up , as in shia his girlfriend, the hackers, the transformers, the gavernment, the two military guys left, and jon voit. and then they kill the deceptacons and earth is saved for now. if you want a better synopsys than fuck you.

    the strong points are...

                                           its not a "kids" movie it seems like its aimed to the people who were kids when they first came out.

                                        on the way out of the theater i saw a poster for " alvin and the chipmucks" live action film. sorry transformers but i have to blame it on somebody.

          i felt it was well acted, im a fan of shia lebouf i feel like he can act, mabey im wrong. but the best part was either the "masturbating scene" ( no he does not masturbate) or jon voit throwing a shuriken.

plenty of explosions, plenty of actions, i would like to see a sequel or two. A -

kay, so i went to see the new fantastic four movie. it was not horrible. the story opens to reed richards and sue storm planing they're 4th attempt at a wedding, the first three having been ruined by the media or mole man or what-have-you. however, they're relationship seems to be on the rocks, as they say, due to reeds need to focus on his science rather than their wedding or whatever. meanwhile across the world in good-old latveria a certain Victor VonDoom opens his eyes for the first time since the end of the last movie, and through a few medical procesures involving power tools he is able to move once more, ready to seak revenge on the fantastic four. meanwhile once more, all across the earth huge fluctuation in solar radiation or somthing is going on and the next stop is sue and reeds wedding. i will not explain this part, because you can watch the first trailer for it, everybodys seen it.

okay after the famous "chase scene" the goverment employs the fantastic four along with victor von doom to find a way to stop the surfer, much to the 'fours dismay, oh yeah and uh jonny now can switch powers with his other team-mates and hilarity ensues. so im sick of typing so lets wrap this up, they catch the surfer, doctor doom gets his board, jonny with the power of all four beats him the surfer stops galaktus and sue and reed get married sorry about not going into detail....at all, but whatever.

no this is not a spiderman 2 or x2 or anything, but its a nice popcorn flick, it was fun but about 90 mins is quite enough, the stanlee camio is more blatent then spiderman 3. i would have liked to see it with namor but still, i give it a b-.
